Welcome to Pro Gratia Learning Centre
Pro Gratia Learning Centre is situated on the corner of Graniet and Torbaniet street, West Acres, Nelspruit.
We currently home to 75 learners with special educational needs.
Pro Gratia is registered at the Department of Education as a School for Learners with Special Educational Needs (EMIS no: 800035709).
We are also registered as a Non-Profit Company (NPC Reg. no: 2015/374300/08).
Our staff, whom are academically tasked, are qualified educators registered at the South African Council of Educators (SACE). Our skills facilitators are qualified in the various fields of skills development offered at Pro Gratia. Our educators, facilitators, and teaching assistants are committed, passionate and highly skilled individuals. The learners at Pro Gratia are cherished and accepted. Pro Gratia has a diverse therapeutic team, consisting of an Educational Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and experienced paraprofessionals, devoted to the individual development, growth and healing of our learners.
Meet Welma
Welma Bezuidenhout is one of the founders of Pro Gratia
Learning centre/special school, which is a non-profit company.
She is one of the directors of the NPC and is also currently the manager of the school. Welma not only manages the logistics and finances of the school, she is the very heartbeat of the school. She deeply cares for each learner and Educator, and her God-given passion is to nurture and empower learners with special needs and their families. She is both leader and friend and is of great comfort and worth in the special needs community in and around Nelspruit.
